Transition Consultation and Training Services for Educators

Easter Seals offers training and consultation services to tie all recommendations to appropriate transition regulations and indicators, ensuring that students gain the skills necessary to meet their post-secondary goals.  Educators are already taking advantage of Easter Seals Transition workshops for the 2012-13 school year.

 A critical piece of the IEP is the Action Plan to achieve the post-secondary vision. 
Easter Seals works with you to address each area of the Action Plan in order to
achieve the student’s vision in the areas of:

Instruction Services for the school-setting Accommodations required Preparing for post-secondary outcomes

Employment Real-work experiences Job shadowing Internships Vocational counseling Instruction on job- seeking skills

Post-School Living Community-based experiences Accessing community resources Building social relationships Self advocacy and self-determination
